If you have a family, there are many things to do in Wake Forest. To start things off, visiting the Historic Downtown district will find shops, eateries, parks, and White Street Brewing Company with a taproom visible to the public. For the history buffs in the family, you’ll need to visit the Wake Forest Historical Museum and the old Wake Forest College, now better known as Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. With street parking, most everything is within walking distance. If you’re looking for that cinematic feel, come during the winter months, and you’ll feel like you are the main character in a Hallmark movie. 

For more entertainment, head out of the downtown district and make your way to the area called “The Factory” there, you can find several more restaurants, indoor activity places, and much more. Throughout Wake Forest, its ten different parks offer a wide range of fun for families and little ones. Don’t forget to bring your furry friends! During the year, the town enjoys putting on many events that are seasonal and Holiday themed. There is always something going on in Wake Forest.

Wake Forest also has a special school district for those families wanting to move out of the city, with fourteen schools from K 12, with Heritage being one of the best High Schools in the county. As the city’s infrastructure grows, so does the population. According to the latest census data from 2010-2020, the population grew by about 58.1% to a population of ∼ 47,000. But don’t worry; developers have swooped in and built and built a lot. There is room for plenty in Wake Forest, with even more. 

Wake Forest has already begun building for its new urban development.  With expansions coming to the downtown areas as well as building near highway 98.  There are plans to add more work collaboratives, businesses, a multi-million dollar planned Tech Park.  Innovation is the name of the game in Wake Forest.
