Mortgage Loan Processor

Raleigh Mortgage Group is a licensed Mortgage Broker located in Raleigh, NC since 2001. Since a typical loan spends approximately 80% of its life cycle in our processing department, this makes our Processor role one of the most influential roles for creating the kind of loan experience that we want to provide for our customers. Our Processor will need to review approvals in a timely manner, request necessary loan documents from clients, follow up on any outstanding documents needed such as title and homeowners, review documents for accuracy prior to submission to underwriter, and have ownership of the file from submission though to closing. Effective communication and time management are a must. Our goal at RMG is to provide every single customer 5 star service. Exceeding their expectations is our goal.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Successfully maintain consistent production level of 20+ loans.
  • Follow up on title, appraisal, homeowner’s insurance, payoffs
  • Order written VOEs, credit supplements, FHA/VA case numbers
  • Review underwriter approval in a timely manner and follow up on necessary loan documents needed.
  • Contact the customer with a list of any additional items needed and update Arive mortgage software with appropriate status updates and resubmit final conditions once received.
  • Must be friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, courteous and work well with others in a team environment.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years Mortgage Loan Processing Experience.

Mortgage Loan Officer

Seeking a self-motivated, ambitious, energetic, intelligent, cooperative, and success driven individual to join our team. Our current office set up includes a loan partner to help with quotes and disclosure packages, very experienced processors, an executive assistant, a Director of Operations and a company owner with over 27 years of experience. We have been in business since 2001, are locally owned and operated and have broker relationships with enough wholesale partners to aggressively compete and win business for nearly any loan type. Our online presence and other marketing efforts offer our MLO’s a substantial amount of call in and online opportunities that should supplement your own referral relationship building.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide and explain various mortgage loan products to customers
  • Originate high quality loan applications and submit to the processing department along with all supporting documentation
  • Obtain and develop relationships with borrowers, realtors, builders, developers, personal contacts, and other valuable referral sources.
  • Lock the loans and manage locked loan pipeline to ensure the locks remain active.
  • Staying abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products to better meet customers’ needs.
  • Working knowledge of lending guidelines and a thorough understanding of the process and procedures
  • Maintain contact with all borrowers to answer questions regarding specific loans, share loan status, and build relationships

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 + years of experience
  • Must meet National and State licensing requirements
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, DU and LP
  • Must be professional and organized and maintain a high level of ethics
  • Must be able to build and maintain relationships
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must work well in a team environment and work well with team members to meet the deadline of loan closing deadlines and/or lock expiration dates
  • Must be able to provide a loan experience that will exceed customer expectations

Mortgage Loan Partner

Raleigh Mortgage Group is looking to provide an amazing opportunity to the right self-motivated, ambitious, energetic, intelligent, cooperative, and success driven individual to join our team.  We have been in business since 2001, are locally owned and operated and have broker relationships with enough wholesale partners to aggressively compete and win business for nearly any loan type.

This position is ideal for someone who is a self-starter, an efficient multi-tasker, great with people, has a positive attitude and loves working. This position will be split between mortgage responsibilities and marketing responsibilities.

The ideal candidate may currently/formerly be a loan officer or a processor who is either burned-out from having to generate their own business or can no longer afford to run the hamster wheel of lead generation. This candidate absolutely must know how to pull & analyze credit, review income & asset documents, understand how to structure a loan, have a general knowledge of Fannie Mae, FHA, VA, USDA guidelines, run DU, stack & submit files, request & clear conditions and communicate incredibly with both borrowers and Realtors.

Being adaptable and efficient is very important for this position. Organizational skills are essential for success in this position along with the ability to follow-up efficiently and keep track of your progress in a logical and organized manner. Attention to detail should be a natural skill of yours and handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment should be something you thrive on.

We are looking for a genuine team player who is excellent in communicating professionally with clients and is a steel-trap with following-through on tasks and assignments. You should be able to learn new skills and information needed to adapt to the ever-changing mortgage industry and have a self-motivated ability to “figure things out” along the way.

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking Applications and entering files/uploading documents into the database
  • Send out needs list to client
  • Follow up on needs list
  • Excellent tracking of the mortgage pipeline
  • Calculate income and Run DU
  • Prepare time clock: determine what needs to be done and when
  • Help clear conditions when needed
  • Make sure closings happen on time and put out fires
